WHORE.
When everything is life and death, you may feel like there’s nothing left. Instead of love and trust and laughter, what you get is happy never after. But deep down all you want is love, the pure kind we all dream of. But we cannot escape the past.
Marina and the Diamonds.
The motherfuckin’ troublemaker, that’s right.
De La Soul.
I can’t get you out of my mind. I swear I’ve been there, I swear I’ve done that. I’ll do whatever it takes just to see those baby, baby blue eye.

Bitches always out to put their paws on your riches. If you got riches, you got glitches. If you got glitches in your life computer, turn it off and then reboot her, now you back on.

Somebody That I Used To Know - Gotye:

Now and then I think of when we were together
Like when you said you felt so happy you could die
Told myself that you were right for me
But felt so lonely in your company
But that was love and it’s an ache I still remember

You can get addicted to a certain kind of sadness
Like resignation to the end
Always the end
So when we found that we could not make sense
Well you said that we would still be friends
But I’ll admit that I was glad that it was over

But you didn’t have to cut me off
Make out like it never happened
And that we were nothing
And I don’t even need your love
But you treat me like a stranger
And that feels so rough
You didn’t have to stoop so low
Have your friends collect your records
And then change your number
I guess that I don’t need that though
Now you’re just somebody that I used to know

Now and then I think of all the times you screwed me over
But had me believing it was always something that I’d done
And I don’t wanna live that way
Reading into every word you say
You said that you could let it go
And I wouldn’t catch you hung up on somebody that you used to know…

But you didn’t have to cut me off
Make out like it never happened
And that we were nothing
And I don’t even need your love
But you treat me like a stranger
And that feels so rough
You didn’t have to stoop so low
Have your friends collect your records
And then change your number
I guess that I don’t need that though
Now you’re just somebody that I used to know

I used to know
That I used to know

Lana Del Rey - Diet Mtn Dew
[Flash 9 is required to listen to audio.]
263 plays

Diet mountain dew, baby, New York City. Can we get it now low, down and gritty? Do you think we’ll be in love forever? Do you think we’ll be in love?

You’re no good for me, baby you’re no good for me. You’re no good for me but baby I want you, I want you.

Gypsy’s, tramps, and thieves, we’d hear it from the people of the town. They’d call us gypsy’s, tramps, and thieves, but every night all the men would come around and lay their money down.
Cher.

Baz Luhramn - Everybody’s Free (To Wear Sunscreen):

Ladies and Gentlemen of the class of ‘99.
Wear sunscreen.
If I could offer you only one tip for the future, sunscreen would be it.
The long term benefits of sunscreen have been proved by scientists, whereas the rest of my advice has no basis more reliable than my own meandering experience…
I will dispense this advice now.

Enjoy the power and beauty of your youth; oh nevermind; you will not understand the power and beauty of your youth until they have faded.
But trust me, in 20 years you’ll look back at photos of yourself and recall in a way you can’t grasp now how much possibility lay before you and how fabulous you really looked…
You’re not as fat as you Imagine.

Don’t worry about the future; or worry, but know that worrying is as effective as trying to solve an algebra equation by chewing bubblegum.
The real troubles in your life are apt to be things that never crossed your worried mind.
The kind that blindside you at 4pm on some idle Tuesday.

Do one thing everyday that scares you.

Sing.

Don’t be reckless with other people’s hearts, don’t put up with people who are reckless with yours.

Floss.

Don’t waste your time on jealousy;
Sometimes you’re ahead,
Sometimes You’re behind.
The race is long, and in the end, it’s only with yourself.

Remember the compliments you receive, forget the insults;
If you Succeed in doing this, tell me how.

Keep your old love letters, throw away your old bank statements.

Stretch.

Don’t feel guilty if you don’t know what you want to do with your
Life.
The most interesting people I know didn’t know at 22 what they wanted to do with their lives, some of the most interesting 40 year olds I know still don’t.

Get plenty of calcium.

Be kind to your knees, you’ll miss them when they’re gone.
Maybe you’ll marry, maybe you won’t, maybe you’ll have children, maybe you won’t, maybe you’ll divorce at 40, maybe you’ll dance the funky chicken on your 75th wedding anniversary.
Whatever you do, don’t Congratulate yourself too much or berate yourself either.
Your choices are half chance, so are everybody else’s.
Enjoy your body, Use it every way you can… Don’t be afraid of it, or what other people Think of it,
It’s the greatest instrument you’ll ever own…

Dance… even if you have nowhere to do it but in your own living room.

Read the directions, even if you don’t follow them.

Do NOT read beauty magazines, they will only make you feel ugly.

Brother and sister together we’ll make it through
Someday your spirit will take you and guide you there
I know you’ve been hurting, but I’ve been waiting to be there
For you.
And I’ll be there, just tell me now, whenever I can.
Everybody’s free.

Get to know your parents, you never know when they’ll be gone for good.

Be nice to your siblings;
They are the best link to your past and the people most likely to stick with you in the future.

Understand that friends come and go, but for the precious few you should hold on.
Work hard to bridge the gaps in geography and lifestyle because the older you get, the more you need the people you knew when you were young.

Live in New York City once, but leave before it makes you hard;
Live in Northern California once, but leave before it makes you soft.

Travel.

Accept certain inalienable truths, prices will rise, politicians will Philander, you too will get old, and when you do you’ll fantasize that when you were young prices were reasonable, politicians were noble and children respected their elders.

Respect your elders.

Don’t expect anyone else to support you.
Maybe you have a trust fund, Maybe you have a wealthy spouse; but you never know when either one might run out.

Don’t mess too much with your hair, or by the time you’re 40, it will look 85.

Be careful whose advice you buy, but, be patient with those who supply it. Advice is a form of nostalgia, dispensing it is a way of fishing the past from the disposal, wiping it off, painting over the ugly parts and recycling it for more than it’s worth.

But trust me on the sunscreen…

(Brother and sister together we’ll make it through

For you. And I’ll be there, just tell me now, whenever I can.

What happened to the feeling that her and me, had? I pray so much about it need some knee, pads.

No light, no light - Florence and the Machine:

You are the hole in my head
You are the space in my bed
You are the silence in between
What I thought and what I said

You are the night-time fear
You are the morning when it’s clear
When it’s over your start

You’re my head
You’re my heart

No light, no light in your bright blue eyes
I never knew daylight could be so violent
A revelation in the light of day

You can choose what stays and what fades away
And I’d do anything to make you stay

No light, no light
No light

Tell me what you want me to say
Through the crowded islands
Crying out at me
In your place there were a thousand other faces

I will disappear in plain sight
Heaven help me
I need to make it right
You are the revelation
You are to get it right
And it’s a conversation
I just can’t have tonight

You want a revelation
Some kind of revolution
You are the revelation

No light, no light in your bright blue eyes
I never knew daylight could be so violent
A revelation in the light of day

You can choose what stays and what fades away
And I’d do anything to make you stay

No light, no light
No light

Tell me what you want me to say
But would you leave me
If I told you what I’ve done

And would you leave me
If I told you what I’ve become
‘Cause it’s so easy
To sing it to a crowd
But it’s so hard, my love
To say it to you, all alone

No light, no light in your bright blue eyes
I never knew daylight could be so violent

A revelation in the light of day
You can choose what stays and what fades away
And I’d do anything to make you stay

No light, no light
No light

Tell me what you want me to say
You are the revelation
You are to get it right
But, it’s a conversation
I just can’t have tonight
You are the revelation
Some kind of resolution

You are the revelation
You are the revelation
You are to get it right

But, it’s a conversation
I just can’t have tonight
You are the revelation
Some kind of revolution
Tell me what you want me to say.

Avril Lavigne - Complicated:

Uh-huh,
Life’s like this
Uh-huh, uh-huh
That’s the way it is
‘Cause life’s like this
Uh-huh, uh-huh
That’s the way it is

Chill out,
What you yellin’ for?
Lay back, it’s all been done before
And if you could only let it be
You will see

I like you the way you are
When we’re, driving in my car
And you’re talking to me
One on one
But you become

Somebody else
‘Round everyone else
Watchin’ your back
Like you can’t relax
You’re tryin’ to be cool
You look like a fool
To me

Tell me
Why do you have to go and make things so complicated?
I see the way you’re
Acting like you’re somebody else gets me frustrated
Life’s like this, you
And you fall and you crawl
And you break and you take
What you get and you turn it into honesty
Promise me I’m never gonna find you fake it?

No, no, no
You come over unannounced
Dressed up like you’re something else
Where you are and
Where you sat, you see
You’re making me
Laugh out
When you strike a pose
Take off all your preppy clothes
You know
You’re not fooling anyone
When you become

Somebody else
‘Round everyone else
Watchin’ your back
Like you can’t relax
Tryin’ to be cool
You look like a fool
To me

Tell me
Why do you have to go and make things so complicated?
I see the way you’re
Acting like you’re somebody else gets me frustrated
Life’s like this, you
And you fall and you crawl
And you break and you take
What you get and you turn it into honesty
Promise me I’m never gonna find you fake it?

No, no, no…
Chill out,
What you yellin’ for?
Lay back, it’s all been done before
And if you could let it be
You will see

Somebody else
‘Round everyone else
You’re watchin’ your back
Like you can’t relax
You’re tryin’ to be cool
You look like a fool
To me, to me

Why do you have to go and make things so complicated?
I see the way you’re
Acting like you’re somebody else gets me frustrated
Life’s like this, you
And you fall and you crawl
And you break and you take
What you get and you turn it into honesty
Promise me I’m never gonna find you fake it?
